This morning Stacia, Cleo, and I loaded into the car to take some canned food down to SIFF Cinema to donate to a local food bank. After a brief stop by the store to pick up the necessities (egg nog and whiskey) we went to pick up a Christmas tree. Wanting Cleo's first Christmas to be one to remember, I demanded we get a big tree. I mean a BIG tree. This thing is 10 feet tall with the angel on top.
Then we fell asleep.
Later that night Cleo lost her thingy and gained a belly button!!!

For a brief moment, I thought that was a puff pastry hors d'oeuvre.
That tree is huge. How did you manage to get it upstairs?
What are you going to do with Cleo's "thingy"? Hang it on the tree? Keep it forever? Feed it to Dan?
Amanda, seriously, gross. ;)
Sorry. I thought maybe you had had enough whiskey and egg nog to be amused.
Clark and Ellen Griswold called and want their Christmas tree back. With regard to the "Thingy", dip it in resin and mount it to a lovely piece of cedar depicting the date of separation; hold it in trust until Cleo is old enough to appreciate its symbolism then present it to her as a novel paperweight.
GG Gwen
PS: The tree is beautiful
