From left to right: Margaret, Nurse Anita, Stacia, Midwife Maggie, Nurse Intern Chelsea.

Update cuatro

Contractions are still pit-free, about 4 minutes apart, and Stacia is handling them just fine.

Medical Update tres

Stacia has been taken off the pit. She's having contractions on her own and is dilated to a 6 cm.

Place your bets everyone

Dana suggested something fun. Gambling! Yay! No money involved (unless you'd like to, but that's between y'all).
Place your bets on
1) Gender
2) Weight
3) Birth Time

Whoever gets all three right without going over (Price is Right style) will win an awesome prize (or something).
Good luck. Just post a comment here with your answer.

Auntie Margaret's here!

Margaret just got here! And she brought a delicious home-made sandwich for me and soup for Stacia.

For Dana

This one's for Dana who requested more posts, and for Angie, whose lunch break will be over soon. Not much to report on the Stacia front. She's still trucking along. She's made the joke that she'll be one of those prairie women who fart and a baby comes out with no warning. We'll see.

From our window in our birthing suite we can see the Ballard 711 and Safeway. They seem right next door to each other from this vantage. Weird.

Also, Stacia requested a picture of me be put on the blog. She here's one of us together.

Baby's 'bout the get the dirt off its shoulders...

Update dos

Stacia's contractions are fairly steady. She's not in any pain and she's pretty mellow. A woman we know who is pregnant and seeing the same midwife is here getting monitored. Stacia went to say Hi but she was busy doing that baby stuff that they do. She'll make her way over here sometime. Margaret's on her way with a sandwich. Stacia's texting Jana, and we're listening to KEXP.
